![]() For the first time in its history, the Detroit Archdiocese is hosting a regional (MI, OH) conference on the Pastoral Care of Immigrant Communities . The Detroit event is the third in a series of national events named: “Witness to Hope.” The all-day event will feature sessions addressing the use of detention in mass deportations, knowing one’s rights in an enforcement scenario, and best rules and practices for sensitive locations, such as churches and schools, that have come under immigration enforcement scrutiny. Strangers No Longer is a local sponsor, along with Catholic Charities of SE Michigan.
